Ron, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area started his musical journey at the age of six on a $25 gut string guitar, bought for him by his parents. He has studied with many teachers, though he credits Paul Sommer with teaching him the most. Ron has recorded with Oakland Blues legend JJ Malone, appearing on JJ's
Description: Ron, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area started his musical journey at the age of six on a $25 gut string guitar, bought for him by his parents. He has studied with many teachers, though he credits Paul Sommer with teaching him the most. Ron has recorded with Oakland Blues legend JJ Malone, appearing on JJ's "The Enemy Called Hate" album. He has also performed live with John Lee Hooker, Deacon Jones, Larry "Arkansas" Davis, Melvin Jackson, James Cotton, Johnny Winter, Robben Ford and Robin Trower. As a founding member of the Gaslighters, Ron has played numerous shows at the infamous Keystone Palo Alto. Opening for acts such as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Neville Brothers and playing the Keystone's closing night as the support act for Chris Isaak. For the past ten years Ron has been the driving force behind The Goodlife Rhythm & Blues Revue and "keeping the music alive"
